Sophisticated real estate financial intermediary specializing in affordable housing has an opening for a Senior Acquisition Officer. This specialized position evaluates and underwrites complex real estate transactions, primarily accessing Low Income Housing Tax Credits and other affordable housing financing programs. The position involves collaboration with staff, developers, institutional investors, regulatory agencies and other professionals. The work entails assessing and evaluating feasibility of transactions through the gathering of due diligence, applying investment criteria guidelines, underwriting financial aspects of the transaction and preparation of investment proposals. Additional responsibilities include work with our HIF Consulting group, offering technical assistance to outside parties in the area of real estate development and finance.  Key competencies include project management, analytical skills, high-level organizational skills and attention to detail, along with strong verbal/written communication ability.
