Windmill Development Group Ltd.

Reporting directly to the Zibi ownership group the Head of Development shall work closely with the COO of Zibi, and together be responsible for joint oversight of the overall advancement of this high profile development.  In conjunction with the COO, the proposed candidate shall be responsible for:

• Advancing all aspects of this project including visioning and execution for development approvals, construction, budgeting, sales and marketing, and other similar responsibilities;
• Providing the ownership group with timely and accurate monthly divisional reporting for projects under consideration;
• Leading effective and efficient meetings with internal stakeholders, municipal officials, external consultants, partners and others;
• Ensuring in the short term that the milestones to deliver project infrastructure are met along with multiple buildings that are scheduled for imminent construction.  Working over the long term to develop and deliver multiple buildings simultaneously;
• Achieving ambitious sustainability targets and leveraging past experience so as to deliver green buildings that are economically viable;
• Providing leadership in the overall performance management of the project delivery team which includes setting clear expectations and objectives, providing coaching and mentoring opportunities, measuring results and establishing an environment which motivates and engages talent to achieve desired results;
• Identifying project risk and leading mitigation efforts; and
• Preparing annual and project budgets and working closely with our financial team to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

An educational background in Architecture, Engineering or related technical field is an asset.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10+ years of senior level experience directing real estate projects of increasing scope and complexity of both residential and commercial real estate projects.

Experienced leader with strong communication skills, who builds and leads consultant teams.

The successful proponent will have strong financial skills in terms of managing projects budgets.
