About the CEO
Damien Tener is the Founder and Principal of Tener Consulting Services (TCS), bringing more than 50 years of experience in commercial real estate, property taxation, asset management, and corporate real estate strategy.
Prior to founding TCS in 1995, Damien served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Koeppel Tener Real Estate Services (KTR), where he helped grow the firm into a national real estate services company with 10 offices throughout the United States. KTR specialized in commercial leasing and investment sales, property management, appraisal, and real estate consulting.
Earlier in his career, Damien was General Manager of Corporate Real Estate for McGraw-Hill Inc. and Corporate Vice President of Rock-McGraw Inc., owner of 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Rockefeller Center. In that role, he oversaw a global real estate portfolio comprising more than 350 leased offices and 29 owned properties across 34 countries.
Before joining McGraw-Hill, Damien held real estate positions with Royal Globe Insurance Company, where he managed office site selection, lease negotiations, and a national office portfolio, and with Albert D. Phelps, Inc., where he was responsible for leasing a 3 million-square-foot portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Damien's broad experience across corporate real estate, brokerage, property management, valuation, and property tax consulting has provided the foundation for TCS's reputation as one of New York City's leading independent property tax advisory firms.
