Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning

The Department of Regional Planning plans and helps shape the development of safe, healthy, equitable and sustainable communities while respecting individual rights and protecting the natural environment in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. The Department has 191 budgeted positions and an annual budget of over $30 million. In performing its core mission, the Department supports major County initiatives related to the following: 1. Sustainability; 2. Homelessness/Affordable Housing; 3. Equity Development; and 4. Environmental Justice.
