Headquartered in Southport, CT, with offices in Danbury, CT, Chappaqua, NY, Tavernier, FL and West Palm Beach, FL the company focuses on value-add development by redeveloping and repositioning undervalued assets. Founded by Felix T. Charney in 1982, the company has developed over 100 properties totaling more than 7.5 million square feet of commercial real estate. Summit has been capitalized by many well-known institutional capital sources including private equity, hedge funds, investment banks and family offices throughout its 40 years. In addition to Summit’s value add real estate activities, Summit has successfully purchased in excess of $315 million in non-performing bank loans secured by commercial real estate from 2010 – 2019.
