About the Company
The Southeastern Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is an independent corporation in charge of all redevelopment activities within a 7.2-square-mile area immediately east of downtown San Diego, in the community known as southeastern San Diego. Established in 1981, by the City of San Diego, SEDC is responsible for an area bound by Martin L. King, Jr. Freeway to the north, Interstate 5 to the south and west, and 69th Street to the east (see map below).
