Loudoun County Government

Loudoun County is located in Northern Virginia, approximately 40 miles west of the nation's capital.  Of the county's estimated 292,000 residents, those in eastern Loudoun County enjoy a suburban environment with larger communities, while residents in the western part of the county enjoy a rural environment that includes small towns, horse farms, wineries and more than 160,000 acres of well-preserved open spaces.  One of the fastest growing and most affluent counties in the United States, Loudoun County has an increasingly diverse population of newer residents.
