The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) finances the creation and preservation of affordable housing throughout the State of Illinois to increase the supply of decent and safe places for people of low and moderate means to live. The Multifamily program department is responsible for new multifamily development lending, the allocation of federal, state and Authority resources, and the development of innovative and cost-effective financing options to public, private and not-for-profit developers to further the mission of the Authority with financing to build and rehabilitate affordable multifamily developments.
