Founded in 1969, Berkshire has two principal businesses: Berkshire Property Advisors, LLC which acquires, redevelops and manages multifamily real estate throughout the United States, and Berkshire Realty Ventures, which capitalizes and builds operating companies within the real estate industry.  Over its nearly 40 year history, Berkshire has proven to be one of the most successful and innovative multifamily investors, owners, operators and lenders in the industry.  It has successfully raised more than $6 billion of equity investment capital, as well as transacted over $10 billion of real estate closings and $22 billion of mortgage loan originations. Today Berkshire's multifamily businesses operates 30,000 apartment units with a team of approximately 1,000 professionals located in eleven offices and thirty markets across the United States.
