Portfolio Technology LeadAbout Our FirmTourmaline is a real estate private equity firm focused on Class A and trophy office assets. We own and operate a 6-million-square-foot national portfolio, and we believe workplace experience is the differentiator that lets us outperform our peers. Technology is core to delivering that experience, and we have invested in a best-in-class stack to support it.The roleThe Portfolio Technology Lead owns the day-to-day performance of Tourmaline’s technology stack, deploys that stack into every newly acquired asset, and oversees the property-level hardware that supports it. This is a project management and vendor coordination role at its core. Our partners have their implementation teams and roadmaps; we need someone who can hold them accountable and make sure the pieces work together for the people using them.Day-to-day, you will live inside our software the way our Onsite teams and tenants do, clicking through the apps, spotting what is broken, and staying on it until it is fixed. You will be the connective tissue between our property teams, our Onsite operators, and our technology partners.Reports to: Chief Product OfficerLocation: Bryn Mawr, PA — travel to portfolio assets expectedWhat you’ll do• Coordinate vendors and drive priorities — set the top three to five priorities for each partner (Cove, REKalibrate, Playbook, and others), hold them to delivery, and raise flags early when things are off-track• Deploy the stack at new acquisitions — assess in-place technology and infrastructure, map it against Tourmaline’s objectives, and stand up the full stack efficiently at every newly acquired asset• Use the stack daily and keep it working — tour the apps the way Onsite teams and tenants do, find friction before users complain, manage tickets to closure, and validate fixes• Partner closely with Onsite teams — build a working rhythm with property management and hospitality teams, and treat their feedback as the primary signal for what is and is not working• Own the property-level hardware fleet — networking, AV, access control, parking, security, and signage; track uptime, manage vendor SLAs, and scope replacements and additions• Keep data flowing — monitor integrations, hold vendors to their integration commitments, and coordinate with our data team so dashboards reflect realityWhat you’ll bring• 3–6 years in project management, vendor management, operations, or technology coordination, ideally in commercial real estate, hospitality, proptech, or a comparable multi-site environment• A workhorse mentality: you move things forward, follow up without being asked, and own outcomes rather than tasks• Experience scoping and standing up technology at new sites• Comfort “playing” with software: clicking around, pushing on edges, finding what is broken• Working knowledge of property-level infrastructure (networking, AV, access control, parking) and integrations at a conceptual level• Direct, low-ego communication: you flag problems early and don’t leave teammates guessingNice to have• Hands-on experience with platforms like Cove, REKalibrate, Playbook, VTS Activate, Flash Parking, or Toast• Prior experience in Class A office or institutional portfolios• Experience supporting acquisitions or property transitions on the technology side• Comfort working in AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or GeminiWhy Tourmaline• Direct ownership of the tech stack across 6 million square feet of Class A office• Tight access to leadership, with investment, operations, and product decisions made in the same room• A team that treats technology as core to the product, with the budget and attention to match
