Job Description/Summary: Analyst

The Analyst will support the team in business development, underwriting, transaction management and administration. 

Key responsibilities

To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility listed below.

• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, operating budgets, rent rolls, and capital expenditure budgets
• Researching and evaluating economic, demographic, and detailed real estate market data
• Conducting property site inspections and market tours (some travel may be required)
• Creating ad hoc financial analyses as well as cash flow projections and investment return modeling
• Creating memos for both internal and external presentation
• Coordinating due diligence review and deal documents
• Other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required  
• 2+ years of work experience in commercial real estate lending, mortgage banking or acquisitions
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment  
• Ability to work on several projects at the same time and manage conflicting deadlines
• Ability to comprehensively analyze prospective new deals and accurately present returns based on potentially complicated deal structures
• Ability to summarize complex issues and opportunities into succinct and actionable deliverables
• Solid understanding of economic and business concepts
• Highly proficient in MS Excel, Excel-based financial modeling and analysis required. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint
