One Liberty Properties is a publicly traded REIT on the NYSE under the symbol OLP.  OLP invests in a wide variety of commercial property nationwide comprised predominately of single tenant net leased industrial and retail properties.  We currently own 126 properties in 31 states comprising more than 10.5 million square feet.  We seek an analyst to work with senior management in acquisitions and portfolio management.  The position will be located at the firm’s corporate office in Great Neck, NY.  


Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing new acquisition opportunities
  • Preparation of letters of intent
  • Financial underwriting in Excel and Argus
  • Preparation of acquisition memorandums
  • Assist with presentation to Investment Committee
  • Review of legal documents such as lease and loan agreements
  • Spearhead due diligence and assist with closing process
  • Assist in managing the portfolio of properties including: dispositions, leasing and financing

Skills Required

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and communications skills
  • Ability to work in an challenging, fast paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong writing skills (experience drafting acquisition memorandums & loan requests a plus)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
  • Proficient in real estate modeling and underwriting utilizing Excel as well as Argus; including ability to model joint venture waterfalls
  • Experience with market research via CoStar, Google Earth and market research reports
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Masters of Real Estate or minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial real estate.

Location - The position will be located at our corporate office in Great Neck, NY.  The office is located 2 blocks from the LIRR train station and a 30 minute ride to New York’s Penn Station.
