We are seeking a CRE Debt Loan Portfolio Asset Manager for the Company’s headquarters office located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

 

Responsibilities will be related to asset management for a large real estate investment company and their debt investment vehicles. The Loan Portfolio Asset Manager will be responsible for being an active member of the asset management team for complex assets within a series of CRE debt-oriented investment vehicles, including first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, real estate debt and equity securities, and other varied sophisticated credit investments.

Essential Functions

 

  • Responsible for loan oversight and compliance
  • Review and analysis of property financial statements, budgets, lease analysis and construction reports
  • Assist in portfolio management issues, including pre-payments and construction issues
  • Review ongoing monthly construction draws, including review of lien waivers, supporting invoices and availability of flow of funds during construction related to timeline and anticipated future draws, and prepare recommendations.
  • Monitor insurance requirements, property tax payments and performance metrics
  • Prepare monthly loan compliance and covenants analysis
  • Prepare quarterly surveillance summary for each loan asset
  • Interact with Borrowers and Consultants
  • Respond to Borrower or Investor questions or requests
  • Perform property inspections as requested
  • Identify and report property issues
  • Perform market analysis
  • Ad hoc analysis

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of loan documents, agreements, mortgage notes, mortgages and guarantees
  • Working knowledge of complex construction loans
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong excel modeling skills
  • Thorough understanding of NPV and IRR analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work within strict monthly and quarterly deadlines

Required Experience and Education

 

  • 5-7 years of financial experience, 3-5 years in Real Estate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business or Finance.  Master’s degree, or work towards degree, preferred.
