Family owned conglomerate with fast growing portfolio of shopping centers throughout United States is seeking experienced in-house Leasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
The selected individual will be involved in all aspects of leasing services. The individual must be willing to grow with a dynamic company with a complete focus on servicing the company’s real estate assets. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, driven and organized, and he or she must have retail leasing experience.
• Develop follow-up materials for prospective tenants (e.g., lease comparisons, market overviews, market presentations, coordinate information with other departments and brokers)
• Create, administer, and update a leasing plan for each property within the portfolio
• Maintain regular contact with existing portfolio tenants and monitor lease expirations
• Develop and grow relationships with national, regional and local tenants, as well as tenant brokers, businesses, and other groups and individuals related to leasing space
• Research competitive market information and maintain understanding of changing market dynamics
• Maintain and update various lease reporting summaries on weekly basis
• Have general knowledge of the local laws governing properties as well as REA and use restrictions for each center
• Prepare basic to intermediate financial analysis showing multiple leasing scenarios and NER calculations
• Conduct and oversee lease marketing campaigns
• Abstract leases to summarize overall terms
Skills and Experience:
• 2-5+ years’ experience in retail real estate leasing with verifiable deals and completed transactions.
• Bachelor degree required.
• Communicate tactfully, skillfully, and persuasively to negotiate long-term permanent leases with local, regional and national retailers
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Excel is required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently in daily office setting
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
• Intermediate understanding of real estate fundamentals
