Asset Management Analyst/Associate

Position Summary:

Triangle Capital is seeking qualified individuals for an Analyst position to support its asset management team. Qualified candidates will have real estate related work experience with a high degree of proficiency in Argus and Excel, the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment, and strong attention to detail. 

The Asset Management Analyst/Associate will be responsible for the following, among other things: 

• Perform detailed financial analyses and prepare corresponding reports.
•  Prepare operating and capital improvement budgets and manage capital draws with lenders.
•  Review monthly operating reports and monitor performance including budget variances and changes to cash flow projections.
•  Secure property level insurance and manage insurance claims process, track real estate tax payments and oversee tax appeals.
•  Provide asset and market level due diligence through discussions with brokers, property managers, and other research sources.
•  Produce and maintain cash flow models using Argus and Excel to continuously evaluate asset valuations.
• Monitor and track compliance with loan documents, joint venture agreements, and other related documents.
• Develop and implement capital market strategies including hold/refinance/sell recommendations.
• Assist the acquisition team with market analysis, asset underwriting and valuations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a real estate related role – preferably asset management, acquisitions, or investment sales.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, ARGUS Enterprise and ARGUS DCF.
• Ability to self-manage, high attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
