Description
Seeking a Real Estate Finance Professional with 3-4 years of finance experience with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac transactions, or extensive experience with financial modeling and data entry, to provide production, analytical and underwriting support for real estate finance group. Compensation will be reflective of experience.
Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in financial analysis with strong attention to detail, or relevant experience quoting, underwriting, and closing apartment loan transactions, with appropriate methodology for analyzing pro forma income and expenses.
Requires strong computer, writing and communication skills with emphasis on Excel modeling and knowledge of Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Program Plus programs and guidelines.
Provide financial evaluation, modeling, structuring and analysis for income producing properties such as office, retail, hotel, with an emphasis on multi-family investments.
Interact with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Bank, Life Company and CMBS lender professionals on a daily basis.
Interact daily with private capital and institutional clients providing market commentary and loan quote estimates based on preliminary estimates of NOI and pricing
Demonstrate knowledge of guidelines and underwriting standards for all lender types including, but not limited to Agency, Bank, Life Company and CMBS executions
Complete a detailed transaction narrative and financial model for direct submission to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae
Completed a Request for Financing package for all lenders including Banks, Life Companies, CMBS, Debt Funds, Mortgage REITs as well as preferred equity and mezzanine debt providers.
Oversee the borrower checklist, third party reports and due diligence review for both in house underwriting (agency) as well as other lenders
Assist team in day-to-day responsibilities, which include the preparation of offering materials and transactional support and negotiation.
Gather property specific & market information by researching a variety of sources including, but not limited to, industry, regulatory and economic information, financial periodicals and newspapers, mortgage and lease documents, demographic data, property information and company records.
Organize, evaluate, interpret and summarize data for distribution to both clients and lenders.
Prepare a variety of analyses, statements and reports for management and client review;
Interface with clients, equity investors, lenders, government agencies, etc., to complete tasks, execute financings and document negotiations.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Bachelor s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university; minimum three years mortgage banking experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Course work or commensurate experience with fundamentals of real estate finance, basic appraisal principals, market analysis and accounting.
Bachelor s degree with four to five years related professional experience preferred. MBA or MS degree a plus.
Salesperson or real estate brokers license preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents preferred . Ability to effectively present information to public groups and /or top management, and executives.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Knowledge of ARGUS and InDesign preferred.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
