Analyst / Associate Position

 

An enthusiastic, ambitious self-starter is sought to fill an Analyst/Associate position in a Boutique Real Estate Investment Banking company with a focus in the areas of institutional investment sales and structured finance, including both equity and debt capital placement. The Analyst/Associate will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of a transaction, including underwriting, market research, the preparation of offering materials, as well as in-depth comparable property and demographic analysis. This individual will work in team-focused environment with senior team members to prepare and to review sophisticated financial models. This is a high-profile position with exposure to and interaction with executive leadership and top-level clientele. The perfect candidate will grow with the firm and have many areas of responsibility.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Financial analysis and cash-flow modeling
  • Preparation of offering memoranda and client presentations
  • Market research and comparable property analysis
  • Transaction due diligence, marketing and management of the closing process
  • Document retention, organization and file management
  • Communication with clients, investors and senior management

Qualifications:

  • One to three years related work experience 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in creating and using financial models (both DCF and JV waterfall distributions)
  • Able to underwrite and analyze a broad range of commercial real estate opportunities, including but not limited to ground-up development and value-add redevelopment projects
  • Working knowledge of ARGUS a plus
  • Conscientious and very attentive to detail
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and creativity, and follow through on assignments in a timely manner
  • Excellent analytical, as well as oral and written communications skills
  • Able to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • General knowledge of real estate and capital markets

     

    The position is located in BlueGate’s New York City office, with temporary locational flexibility currently in-place due to COVID-19.  Salary and bonus will be commensurate with experience. No phone calls please.
