Combined Properties, Incorporated is an award winning, privately owned real estate company that develops, owns, manages and operates retail shopping centers, urban mixed use projects and multi-family properties. Combined has a demonstrated track record of success for over 35 years and is poised for further growth. We are currently recruiting for a Director of Capital Markets & Finance to join our Finance team. Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Capital Markets & Finance is responsible for raising capital for the existing portfolio, new property acquisitions, and new development projects; managing the existing loan portfolio by ensuring compliance with loan covenants; and reviewing monthly and annual financial model updates.  This position is also responsible for managing transaction due diligence, preparing loan and/or marketing packages for lenders or other sources of capital, and management of loan administration and financial management staff.

  • Manage and develop Capital Markets staff and provide coaching and feedback to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Raise debt capital for existing portfolio to include:
    • Cold calls to prospective lenders and setting up meetings to establish relationships;
    • Determining financing needs/objectives; designing and overseeing preparation of debt financing packages;
    • Negotiating loan terms and loan documents for debt transactions, achieving the most favorable rates and terms possible; performs due diligence and manages due diligence efforts of team members and subordinate personnel performing due diligence for debt transactions
  • Manage the efforts of the loan administration staff to ensure compliance with loan documentation on the existing portfolio and the financial management staff to ensure accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Overall management of portfolio-wide 5-year (updated monthly) and 15-year (updated annually) financial models. 

Requirements:

  • BS in finance or accounting; MBA in real estate or finance preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in commercial real estate with extensive experience managing due diligence for and closing commercial real estate financing transactions, performing financial analysis, reading and negotiating loan documents and managing loan compliance.
  • Demonstrated organizational/coordinative ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks with concurring deadlines, projects and processes over a project timeline with internal and external contacts. 
  • Must possess the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal customers and external business contacts.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Argus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation.
