Financial Analyst / Associate Job Description

SUMMARY:
Our company is an industry leader (private equity owned infrastructure) in the development and management of airports and airport infrastructure, is seeking a financial analyst to support dynamic business transformation, significant capital investment and M&A.  Analyst will work with the leadership team, as well as private equity ownership, to analyze, evaluate and contribute to the execution of the business plan. Analyst will gain exposure to all aspects of the infrastructure industry through new developments, asset acquisitions and asset management in addition to corporate M&A activity in support of our growth plans.  

We provide mission-critical infrastructure projects that support e-commerce, logistics, maintenance, and airport related operations at airports in North America.   We are based at Washington Dulles International Airport in the Northern Virginia region just west of Washington DC, which is conveniently accessible by air, public transportation, and several highways.  The National Capital Region offers cultural, educational, professional, and lifestyle options that are comparable to very few worldwide.

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and update complex financing models (e.g. Excel and Argus)
  • Perform property, portfolio and company valuations and return analyses
  • Support the identification, underwriting, financing, and execution of investment opportunities
  • Create meeting and reporting materials, including RFP submissions and investor/partner reports and presentations
  • Research target markets/industries and interface with sell side advisors
  • Domestic travel to support business development and due diligence activities
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that create value
  • Ad-hoc projects and presentations
  • Project Management, as assigned
  • Utilize full Argus capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of work experience in related field
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint and ability to quickly learn other financial evaluation platforms (ARGUS Enterprise experience is a plus)
  • Excellent financial analysis and valuation skills; Strong business sense and ability to understand complex business issues
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels within and outside the company
  • Team player
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skill
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in work product and ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects
  • See projects to completion, which may require night weekend work
  • Work at the Corporate Office at Dulles International Airport on a regular schedule
  • Travel per the needs of the department
