Haven Realty Capital is a real estate investment firm specializing in single-family and multi-family rental housing across the United States. Haven was founded in 2010 and was an early entrant into the Single-Family Rental (SFR) industry where it acquired, leased, and managed approximately 10,000 rental homes across 7 states on behalf of high-net worth investors, family offices and private equity institutions.
Haven’s strong performance in the SFR industry has led it into additional housing-related investment strategies such as multifamily, residential land entitlement and development, and manufactured housing. The combination of these strategies has allowed Haven to generate solid risk-adjusted returns through cash flow distributions and sales proceeds within the Housing sector.
Haven’s unique positioning allows it to be an early mover in segments of the rental housing market that are evolving rapidly such as the Build2Rent sector. Haven has identified the Build2Rent sector as attractive because it blends the key efficiencies that come with the multifamily business with the attractive renter profile that is associated with the single-family rental industry.
Haven formally launched an investment strategy in the Build2Rent segment in 4Q19 and now controls over $300 million in Dedicated Rental Community (DRC) projects that are in different phases of construction, acquisition, and lease-up. Importantly, Haven is targeting $1 billion in DRCs in the next 18-24 months. Haven capitalizes its investments with capital from a Discretionary Fund and select Institutional Joint-Venture Equity Partners.
Haven expects rapid growth over the coming years and is looking for an experienced asset manager to work alongside Haven’s principals on both existing and future projects.
Position: Development & Construction Manager

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate on-site and desktop level due diligence
- Work closely with the Acquisition team to develop budgets
- Engage third party land developers to provide site development work
- Work with design, engineering, builders, and acquisitions teams to establish and maintain reasonable development and construction timeline
- Provide recommendations and implement changes for property improvements based on thorough analysis and experience
- Create and update project level reporting packages
- Manage field level personal across multiple markets
- Coordinate delivery process of new units with asset management and property management teams
- Conduct on-site visits
- Oversee builder quality control
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in ground up residential construction and land development
- Deep knowledge of the construction industry/market, design process, and construction practices
- Experienced and skilled in reading design and construction drawings for all disciplines
- Experience and ability to develop cost estimates, schedules, and total cost analyses analysis
- Proven experience and ability to carry out multiple projects simultaneously across multiple markets
- Ability to work remotely
- Bachelor’s degree, on the job experience will be considered
- Proficient knowledge of Excel
- Strong management skills, with an ability to work independently and multitask
- An analytical approach with a result-
- Travel to properties across the nation will be required (30% - 40% of work week)
