The Director of Vendor Relations is responsible for managing the feed vendor relationships for CoStar Groups marketplace businesses.  This role is responsible for sourcing third-party data feeds and managing the content relationships with Property Management Companies, Property Management Software Vendors and Brokers. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute the business development strategy for all feed partner relationships including national accounts and regional vendors. 

  • Oversee the business development cycle and account management of all vendor content partnerships including contract negotiations, pricing, and evaluation of current and potential partnerships 

  • Achieve key monthly goals including: 1) outreach and service; 2) new feeds secured; 3) client participation rates; 4) data utilization. 

  • Maintain and prioritize a list of prospects and achieve daily outreach/meeting goals. 

  • Partner with Apartments.comFeed Ops, Sales and Research to identify, acquire and implement new data sets that will add value to all CoStar Group business units. 

  • Contribute to a functional and technical roadmap for third party data that aligns to strategic business goals. 

  • Close collaboration with key stakeholders is essential. Foster open communication, transparency and the highest level of integrity, trust, and collaboration. 

  • Manage partner relations budgets including forecasting, planning, tracking and reporting of content syndication fees and travel costs. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree is preferred 

  • Extensive account management experience, including negotiating content syndication agreements with Property Management Companies, Property Management Software Companies and Brokers 

  • Deep knowledge of Property Management Software solutions such as Yardi, RealPageMRI, and Entrata 

  • Strong existing relationships within the real estate industry. 

  • Relevant work experience at a real estate or real estate technology company and/or familiarity of industry concepts and terminology.

  • Proven leadership ability and extensive business development experience  

  • Strong and proven business acumen and the ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy 

  • Demonstrated success of building strong, cohesive relationships and teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration 

  • Results orientated and the ability to run a metrics driven operation 

  • Highest level of communication, information and transparency 

  • Experience of change management and ability to adapt quickly in a technology led environment 

  • Financial awareness and experience of working within budgets
