Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

MidCity is a Bethesda, Maryland-based real estate company that is grounded in more than fifty years of development and management of multifamily housing. Our company was founded in 1965 by Eugene F. Ford, Sr., a national affordable housing champion who created over 15,000 units of affordable housing to address poverty in the United States.

That legacy endures today through MidCity’s core focus on developing and managing mixed-income communities designed to enrich the lives of our residents and the communities in which we operate, and deliver long-term value to our partners. We are committed to strategic growth and fiscal strength while maintaining our tradition of social responsibility.

Today, MidCity owns a portfolio of housing in the eastern half of the United States, with a concentration in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan region. We have three active development sites in the heart of Washington, DC.

  • Play a key team role in the project management and documentation of real estate transactions and corporate governance matters across the company.
  • Facilitate loan, acquisition, and disposition closings alongside the asset management and development teams, as appropriate.

  • Track HUD, local subsidy programs, Opportunity Zone, and other regulatory requirements that impact property operations, contract renewals, regulatory, tax, and loan compliance. Support the renewal and management of federal subsidy contracts, HAP rent increases, comparability studies and related matters.
  • Support corporate social responsibility and philanthropic activities within the company’s resident services platform and charitable foundation.
  • Project manage cross-disciplinary strategic initiatives as the need arises.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Minimum seven (7) years of multifamily real estate experience, preferably with affordable housing programs including federal housing programs (Section 8) and subsidies.
