Position Title: Analyst 

Department: CMBS Analytics 

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a temporary work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position.


Kroll Bond Rating Agency is seeking an Associate or an Analyst with 1-4 years of experience to join the CMBS Analytics Team in its New York City headquarters. 


Key Job Requirements

  • Perform commercial real estate loan pool-level credit analysis as part of CMBS ratings new issue and surveillance processes.
  • Quickly get up to speed on intricacies of KBRA’s CMBS methodologies and models, and actively and independently participating in credit modeling of transactions.
  • Manage existing models, financial analytics tools and templates. 
  • Prepare research and data compilation to facilitate production of presale reports, topical research, and ongoing property cash flow and rating analyses.
  • Author sections of presale and research reports.

Key Skills/Expertise/Experience

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience, ideally in structured finance and CMBS.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel for conducting credit modeling.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL and VBA will be a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Trepp and its database will be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering/Technology related fields. Successful progression towards CFA a plus.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
