Description
Onward Investors is seeking candidates to join this growing, entrepreneurial Minneapolis based private real estate investment firm. The analyst will have exposure to multiple functions, including acquisitions, capital markets, portfolio management, disposition, finance, operations and financial reporting. The analyst will be expected to provide analytical support in the origination, underwriting, closing, and asset management of investments, as well as general support duties as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite new acquisition opportunities in target markets utilizing Argus and excel modeling functions.
- Conduct market research functions as necessary to support proposed underwriting (e.g. rent surveys, comparable sales, etc.).
- Prepare internal memoranda and investment packages to support investment recommendations.
- Assist in due diligence efforts related to all new acquisition activity.
- Build and maintain financial models, review leases and property financials.
- Assist in the asset management of portfolio properties.
- Assist in financial and covenant reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of relevant real estate experience (asset management, operations, property management and/or acquisitions).
- Passion for real estate and investing.
- BA/BS degree in finance, real estate, or related field.
- Superior analytical skills with proficiency in Argus, Excel and all Microsoft office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, motivated, energetic, and independent with strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
