Primary Objective:
The Director of Creative Production oversees production teams daily operations - which may include video, design, audio, writing, web, or other disciplines, under the leadership and guidance of the Sr. Director of Production. The Director of Creative Production is passionate about the Spectrio products and mission. Their focus is to guide the direction of Spectrio's content development, ensuring the production teams produce engaging content and dynamic experiences for various platforms and channels while meeting our clients' needs and company initiatives. In addition, they will work closely with various teams either in collaboration or in support of client or internal needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creative process from strategy and concept to completion
  • Translate sales, marketing, and client objectives into clear creative strategies for content development
  • Guide the overall direction and production plans for the development of library content
  • Maintain workflows for all project management systems and tools; develop and evolve these processes as needed to increase efficiency; provide training as needed
  • Support Team Leads in their oversight and management of creative teams' production and workload
  • Strive to better the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of Spectrio's content
  • Become proficient in Spectrio's proprietary platforms and work closely with the production teams to build out feature requests to help improve these platforms as needed
  • Coordinate with department heads and management on large scale projects and business development initiatives
  • Constantly strive towards better efficiency in processes, always working towards long-term solutions and scalability
  • Handle production escalations as required, consulting with partners and clients to resolve issues and propose solutions
  • Regularly report on and analyze production data, providing insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with, support, coach, and guide team leads in their daily activities, as needed
  • Encourage and facilitate the growth of the creative team and individuals' skill sets
  • Consult on prospective opportunities, build proposals, estimates, and pitch solutions
  • Design, write, storyboard, pitch, and execute original, creative, and engaging written and visual content for a wide range of businesses, clients, and audiences in a collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with sales and provide consultation, when necessary, for prospective projects
  • Develop standards of excellence for art direction with team leads
  • Consult and collaborate with clients to advise them on best practices and work together to achieve the best possible result
  • Embrace the creative process and work in a collaborative atmosphere with a team of creatives to ultimately create the best work and create the right solution for the ask, while exceeding expectations and meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with teammates across departments, implement customer feedback, innovate on strategies, and help develop best practices
  • Confidently set priorities for team leads
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have substantial experience leading creative teams and be comfortable advising production team members on creative solutions to problems in these fields
  • Should have experience and knowledge of video/audio production, and be able to advise team members and clients alike on best practices
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience designing workflows preferred
  • 7+ years professional experience in agency or in-house creative/production team, with increasing responsibilities
  • 3+ years of management experience in a creative setting
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Be able to use independent judgement to improve the solution we provide to a customer
  • Passion for helping clients and businesses
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented attitude and aptitude
  • Portfolio submission recommended
