A well-established New Jersey based full-service real estate investment company is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our acquisitions team. This person needs to obsess over every detail of our deals, take initiative, think independently, and make quick decisions. The candidate will be our in-house expert on all things related to financial analysis and due diligence, and will be a perfectionist for accuracy. Responsibilities:
Create pro forma analyses for acquisition feasibility
Analyze and evaluate rent rolls and operating statements of properties being considered for acquisition to determine feasibility and valuation
Review and summarize tenant leases and articulate issues/concerns in a clear and effective manner
Convey all details of a transaction (financial projections, market and location issues and tenant analysis, etc.) in formal written format for investors
Articulate findings (both pros and cons) of a transaction to team members in a professional and thorough manner
Manage the due diligence process including collecting, tracking and evaluating required materials for acquisition
Recommend business plans based on lease-up, rollover, mark-to-market, lease credit and term, and market conditions
Prepare investment memos and investor packages for new deals
Draft deal summaries and investment committee memos
Work directly with asset management teams to prepare financial analysis and reforecasts
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; Business or Finance preferred and/or training in financial modeling
2+ years of financial analysis experience
Experience underwriting commercial properties with Argus preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Proven quantitative and organizational skills, with attention to detail
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
The qualified candidate will be detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects
