Treetop Companies (“Treetop”) is a private real estate investment firm located in Teaneck, New Jersey. Treetop is a multi-faceted national firm focused on multi-family, low income housing, and industrial investments. Owning and operating all properties with over 300 employees nation-wide. Treetop Companies and its related entities currently own ~7,000 units, 1.7 million square feet of industrial space, and have a pipeline of ~8 million square feet under development.

Treetop Companies is seeking a Senior Acquisitions Analyst in New Jersey to join their Acquisitions team. This corporate-level role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and support in overseeing all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing. Such role will have additional responsibilities which will allow for further exposure to the business and is well positioned for future growth within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage entire due diligence process for new investments; including but not limited to, financial analysis/underwriting, market research, 3rd party consultant coordination/review, and securing financing.
  • Build, review, and manipulate financial models (Excel & Argus), investor waterfalls, and asset management tools.
  • Analyze, review, and interpret real estate documents, including operating statements, rent rolls, budgets, loan documents, operating statements, leases, and other due diligence material.
  • Assist with the closing processes of a new acquisition or disposition.
  • Compile and present the results of analyses and effectively address questions.
  • Maintain Yardi investor portal on a quarterly basis to appropriately reflect investor level highlights; such as distributions, capital contributions, monthly reporting, and overall investment returns.
  • Create, update, and maintain investor presentations while working closely with outside digital design consultants.
  • Perform location, market, property, and economic research to be used in property marketing materials.
  • Contact and field investor questions on a day-to-day basis as needed.
  • Help source new investment opportunities.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

 

 

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

Experience: 1-3 Years of relevant real estate investment experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Professional Experience

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills in combination with outstanding communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel. Argus proficiency is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of all the various components of real estate investing, financing, acquisition and disposition processes, including but not limited to market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation, and capital markets.
  • Yardi experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with multiple asset types; most looked-for specifically multifamily and industrial assets.
  • Heavily detailed oriented and ability to multitask and manage multiple deals at one time.
  • Candidate should be proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
