The VP Operations is a new role whose need is rooted in continuous growth of our firm. In partnership with EVP and SVP Operations, the VP Operations will play an integral role in the leadership and buildout of our Operations team, while also acting as liaison between management companies and the broader LivCor firm. The VP Operations is an articulate and clear communicator and is particularly adept at leveraging influence to establish value proposition and to negotiate and build consensus. The VP Operations must have operational insight to provide consultative support to various management groups and work well with internal/external customers.

What you will do:

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, always imagining what’s possible and challenging our organization to be a market leader
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve potential risk and roadblocks to achieve company strategies
    • Seek to understand and resolve root cause of issues
  • Prepare standard communications for POC messaging
  • Implement Standards across Operators including Community Programming (AHA, etc.)
  • Communicate with internal and external partners on progress and receive feedback
  • Manage various PMC relationships as an operational lead, addressing performance opportunities at an enterprise level
  • Work with operations team to produce recommendations for COQ/COY and OOY while building engagement and field level awareness
  • Assist in coordinating various projects/communications with Operators and teams; create, manage, and distribute reporting
  • Lead team by successfully delivering quality projects/reporting to Operators and LivCor departments
    • Clearly define success for team, including goals, expectations, and LivCor KPIs
    • Formulate annual goals and business planning in line with overall Company strategies
    • Drive strategy and implement programs to achieve financial success and
  • Comfortable using software programs to process data and interpret the results through critical thinking
    • Able to share story through data to Operators and Internal Partners
  • Superior analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft office applications and deep experience in project management
  • Support multiple projects. Well organized, capable of multitasking and managing time well
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Collaborate at all levels, working with team members, senior management, and business owners to move projects forward
    • Represent LivCor and our Operating Partners; having both their best interest in mind, always
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
  • Engaged and collaborative team player with high energy and strong analytical thinking
    • Develop and retain top talent, maintaining a constant focus on succession plans to ensure continually developing future leaders

What you should have:

3-5 years of experience in property management operations (3 years of leadership level experience, minimum).

  • Cultivating a strong, agile team that fosters the professional development of each colleague.
  • Knowledge of and experience with developing and implementing multifamily
  • Quick thinking, mental agility, prioritization, and people skills are an essential to succeed
  • Experience overseeing and managing partner relationships.
  • Multifamily Industry experience is required.
  • Candidate must have proven track record of providing high quality work and leading through influence.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
