Savills is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to provide high-level research support for the local office markets. Reporting directly to the Tri-State Research Director, this role will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing commercial real estate market data for distribution to external/internal prospects & clients, maintaining and ensuring the quality of our data, providing customized research pieces for presentations/RFP responses and working with the research team to present data in a compelling way. This is an ideal opportunity for a real estate research professional with several years’ experience and a keen understanding of the New York office market seeking to work in a best-in-class organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the regional real estate market; contribute to the quarterly market statistics process including data collection, verification, and analysis
  • Provide regular updates to, and maintenance of, proprietary market information databases including building and owner information, lease comparables, tenants in the market, and other key data points
  • Identify insights on market activity, conditions and trends to maintain competitive advantage through market expertise and analysis
  • Develop strong rapport with Savills research counterparts nationally to exchange best practices and market moving data
  • Work with brokerage, marketing, and graphics teams to best position research to contribute to business development and client service efforts
  • Develop and leverage relationships with research peers and experts externally in the local real estate community in order to exchange information and keep abreast of relevant industry developments
  • Respond to all internal and external clients’ requests for data and information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in client meetings as needed and prepare written market materials
  • Attend all relevant team meetings and actively contribute to local and national research insights
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the tri-state research director and brokerage teams
  • Stay calm under pressure, accept direction and critique, and enjoy working in a fast paced, self-directed environment

 

Experience/Education/Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of related real estate and/or research and analysis experience
  • Experience in industry research departments a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong problem-solving, analytic and data visualization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Accomplished with Microsoft Office suite, internet research, and various other types of analytical and presentation software; Tableau and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize workload under pressure
  • Self-starter who works independently and thinks proactively and strategically
