purpose 

The primary focus of the role will be to support the D&I team on all activities relating to the North American roll out of citizenM hotels, including site acquisition, shareholder reporting, competitor analysis, and business development. 

 key responsibilities

  • supporting the D&I team, Chief Investment Officer, strategic council and shareholders with hotel and real estate market analysis and management information
  • supporting the regular update of the global roll-out strategy
  • managing the research documentation and archive of the D&I team
  • being a critical team member supporting the sustainable roll-out of citizenM 

 main tasks

  • acquisition project support with feasibility analysis, drafting investment memorandum sections, financial modeling, due diligence support
  • general team support with presentations, preparations for new market trips, providing management information 
  • market analysis, competitor research, monitoring property/hotel market 

qualifications / skills

  • academic degree in a business, finance, or real estate -related discipline; graduate degree preferred but not necessary
  • real estate and financial modeling skills required
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in (hotel) real estate
  • excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google applications
  • a broad interest in the hospitality industry, curiosity about hotel deal making
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages a distinct advantage
  • able to work independently and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • high attention to detail
  • a team player with a resourceful attitude

locations / hours

  • New York Office (32nd St. & Madison Ave). This is a full-time position with 20% travel expected.
