Description

About The X Company

The X Company is the real estate development and operations team behind X — the first and largest branded network of member clubs and apartment buildings in the country. X Co. is currently active in six markets, with 5,000 beds in the current portfolio and over $1B in planned construction activity. X Co. is unique in that it is fully integrated — able to acquire, design, build, and operate its real estate assets, as well as manage its growing member network and brand.

X offers its members professional-quality workspace to rival any co-working space and support the growing work from home segment; a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio designed around class-based fitness activation, and attainable apartments including private residences and coliving suites.

In short, X Co. exists to improve the way we interact.

The Financial Analyst: Asset Management is an integral part of X Co’s long term success.  This person will engage directly with senior management and provide accurate, thorough, and thoughtful analysis in a fast-paced, rigorous, and deadline-driven environment to ultimately ensure that our national portfolio is performing as effectively as possible.   In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your already exemplary analytical and financial modeling skills, develop real estate valuation skills, learn the key elements of asset management and be a part of a trailblazing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining cash flow valuation models for individual assets and portfolio
  • Providing financial analysis on pricing / leasing strategies and other project and portfolio level ROI opportunities
  • Reviewing monthly accruals and financial statements to ensure accuracy, correct issues and evaluate property and portfolio performance in relation to market trends
  • Updating monthly and quarterly reporting for lenders, partners and senior management
  • Preparing other analysis as needed to support the asset management and leasing teams
  • Coordinate and assist in the completion of quarterly and annual investor reports as well as various internal reporting items
  • Assisting in the evaluation and due diligence for potential acquisitions and dispositions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 1-2 years of work experience in real assets, private equity and/or finance preferred.  This is an entry level position, but previous real estate analysis experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Core knowledge of real estate fundamentals, finance, accounting and performance measurement
  • High attention to detail, organized, and self-directed; eager to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by first day of employment.  This means that at least two weeks before your first day, you must show proof of complete vaccination
