Summary:
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Debt Investment Group. This position would report directly to the Managing Director, Debt Investment Group.

The debt-related investments include acquiring loans from financial institutions and other lenders as well as originating loans secured by high-quality real estate in the Western U.S., Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial broker package review and analysis for new financing opportunities, prescreening deals that come in through acquisition professionals
- Produce short form summaries for internal review on new potential new transactions
- Assist with coordinating the closing process of new deals
- Assist with various Asset Management and servicing requests, including following up with Servicer and Borrowers, if necessary, to obtain required information
- Work closely with Accounting and Treasury on monthly distributions and timely reporting to partners
- Monitor property occupancy and operating financial performance and trends in the portfolio and flag potentials issues and deviations from underwritten business plans
- Monitor and track Kennedy Wilson’s coverage of the mortgage brokerage community to help ensure optimal deal flow
- Perform special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree – preferably in business/finance
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the commercial or mortgage banking industry (internships included)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other similar platforms
- Proficiency in cash flow analysis modeling, preferably Argus Certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize projects, work with deadlines and organize workflow
- Team player, ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Takes initiative and works with minimal oversight; proactively addresses problems with regards to work product, process and personnel
