Description: BroadVail Capital Partners is a private equity firm that partners with best-in-class management teams to build institutional real estate investment platforms. The firm manages a series of discretionary funds that provide growth capital to real estate operating companies across the U.S (all markets and sectors considered). The firm embodies a unique and progressive investment strategy in commercial real estate. BroadVail makes controlling investments of growth capital into portfolio companies that meet the firm’s stringent criteria through a series of discretionary funds. The firm’s portfolio companies operate in a broad array of asset-classes across the United States.

 

This position will serve as an integral part of the investment team by supporting the decision making of the firm’s senior investment staff. The ideal candidate will participate in all aspects of the investment process from research, due diligence, underwriting, investment analysis, asset management and the exit process across a broad array of commercial real estate companies within various property sectors nationwide. Individuals must have strong work ethic, attention to detail, quantitative and analytic skills, the ability to work in teams, self-motivation, good written and verbal communication and an interest in investing.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Analyze potential investment opportunities
  • Conduct research and due diligence in collaboration with portfolio companies
  • Build financial models, investment memorandums, & presentations to assist in investment evaluation
  • Actively participate in the investment process
  • Develop relationships with management teams as part of monitoring portfolio companies

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen (or Permanent Resident) is required
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Real Estate (or related field); a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5 (at or near top of cohort class ranking)
  • Prior finance and/or real estate internship work experience experience a plus (part-time or summer); or a club/organization-related investing experience
  • Interested in learning all aspects of property investment (acquisitions and development), market analysis, financial analysis, capital markets, and asset management
  • Strong intellect and strategic thinker with solid quantitative, financial and analytical skills
  • Strong writing skills & high attention to detail
  • “Self-starter” with the ability to prioritize workflow and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Operate with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments; strong time management skills
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Desire to live in Houston and willingness to travel
