RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overall asset and risk management of a portfolio of multifamily agency loans; uses fundamental concepts, practices and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for monitoring the performance of an assigned loan portfolio.

Serves as a primary contact between Fannie Mae, CBRE Loan Services, loan producers and clients.

Provides high level customer service on sensitive and complex items assigned loan producers and their clients. Works effectively with loan servicing company, to meet client needs and requests.

Responsible for asset management decisions delegated by Fannie Mae; makes recommendations to management on higher level decisions.

Reviews and interprets loan documents and monitors compliance with loan agreements. Makes recommendation of watch list status and whether loans are in default.

Responsible for developing loss mitigation plans for troubled loans.

Performs Fannie and Freddie mandated inspections of assigned properties as required.

Provides feedback on markets, sponsors and asset types to the loan production team and participates in loan committees.

Special projects as required.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Guides and standard asset management practices

Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Inspection Certification preferred. Will be required to obtain and meet Fannie/Freddie certification requirements.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products including: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

Significant travel maybe required.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
