Preferred Apartment Communities Inc, ( PAC ) is in search of a Senior Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst. This role will be integral in providing robust analytical support and business intelligence that is crucial to the operations of our growing multifamily portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis on KPI s and financial performance for PAC s multifamily portfolio
- Conduct research and analysis to provide narratives and critical insights on PAC s portfolio for financial reporting and earnings calls
- Build proforma budgets and reforecasts for the multifamily portfolio in conjunction with senior property managers
- Build excel-based dashboards, forecasting models and reports to assist senior management with key decision making, budgeting, and overall business planning
- Analyze property rent rolls and operating statements
- Maintain ownership of several operational processes for Property Management. This includes maintaining datasets and reports within Yardi and Entrata and tracking performance bonuses for property managers
- Assist with due diligence for new property acquisitions as needed
- Conduct other ad-hoc analysis as needed per the requests of Chief Property Management Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Asset Management Officer, and the President of Multifamily
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or related fields
- 1-3 years experience in commercial real estate, preferably in multifamily
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and in advanced formulas, such as nested IF statements, Vlookups, data tables, etc. Experience with VBA and building macros is a plus
- Experience with Yardi, Entrata, CoStar, Yieldstar and RealPage Budgeting software is a plus, but not required
- Strong Analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Self-starter, able to work effectively either independently or in a small team
- Detail oriented and accustomed to triple-checking work before submission
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Capable of multi-tasking across various projects
