Acquisitions/Asset Management Analyst

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a full-time analyst to be an integral part of our team and assist in implementation of acquisitions, business plans, investor reporting, working with property/construction management teams and underwriting/managing of commercial real estate.  The Analyst is responsible for creating and performing real estate financial and market analysis for the Company’s property acquisition, development, asset management and investment activities. The position will entail, cold-calling, creating proformas, drafting offers, reviewing legal agreements, collecting and analyzing due diligence information, marketing analysis, creating loan request packages, and drafting investment summaries in acquiring commercial properties.  Proven phone skills, writing skills, communication skills, excel skills, and sound judgment are a must.

  • Responsible for analyzing potential real estate acquisitions, investments and development opportunities
  • Research potential markets for commercial acquisition opportunities and source new acquisitions for the Company
  • Assist in the real estate due diligence process
  • Prepare comprehensive presentation materials that include; demographic analysis, market analysis, financial projections and competitive property evaluation suitable for approval by supervisors
  • Assist in coordinating a variety of outside consultants including; environmental, geo-technical, civil engineering, architectural and legal
  • Effectively works with property management staff to evaluate achievable rental levels, expense comparable, and expense estimates for all acquisition opportunities being considered
  • Responsible for becoming familiar with costs associated with acquisitions, including physical renovation construction costs, site development costs, pre-development costs, etc.
  • Lender and Investor reporting
  • Implementing property-level business plans
  • Monitoring budgets and idea creation for additional value

QUALIFICATIONS

We anticipate this position will be demanding; therefore, we seek candidates who are:

  • Strong skills in financial analysis and modeling with excel.  Argus experience is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (or related work experience)
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, communication, and writing skills
  • Use analytical skills to identify opportunities and make recommendations
  • Interest and/or experience in commercial investments
  • Strong phone skills

  • Ability to operate various office equipment including, computer, telephone, fax, copier, calculator.

  • Ability to work independently and refer appropriate matters to supervisor when necessary.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication.
