Overview:
The Acquisitions Analyst will assist in sourcing, underwriting, and acquiring investment opportunities in retail, multi-family, and mixed-use properties in New York City. This person will be focused on all aspects of the acquisition process including sourcing opportunities, managing brokerage/owner contacts, underwriting investments, performing due diligence, and assisting in the financing and closing of the transaction. The candidate must be able to work independently, collaborate with small teams and communicate with leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and modify discounted cash flow projection models with respect to an investment utilizing Excel
- Perform due diligence related to new investments including but not limited to the review of third party environmental and engineering reports, title, survey, historical financial statements, leases, and market research
- Continually track market activity and communicate with sales professionals to identify new opportunities
- Assist in the transition of acquisitions to asset management
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and 2-5 years of experience
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel
- Understanding of real estate investment concepts
- Understanding of market trends, neighborhood characteristics, and building types
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Familiarity with Argus helpful
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships in a professional manner
