JOB SUMMARY

The Data/ Business Analyst/Project Coordinator will have strong communications, documentation, project management, business process, and organizational behavioral skills to drive business & systems readiness, enabling value realization for the business. Prior experience with data center construction and supply chain is a plus.

The candidate will work closely with a team of cross functional stakeholders across the organization, helping client and other relevant stakeholders map out business requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria. You will support workshops and presentations involving stakeholders from across the business to map existing business requirements into use cases, define acceptance criteria and track status. Understanding of the requirements and business processes, in addition to a strong due diligence in end-to-end business requirements, will be critical for this role. You will ensure that end users feel involved and heard as design and development, mitigating concerns and connecting the dots between business and technical counterparts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the liaison between the business team and broader organization stakeholders to define business requirements and collaborate in defining design options through both waterfall and Agile methodology.

Work closely with cross functional teams including Project Management, Product Owners, Developers, Quality Assurance and stakeholder engineering teams.

Apply industry knowledge to help continue process improvement and team communication.

Develop, monitor and update project plans RAID logs, and project artifacts using industry accepted best practices.

Develop required project KPIs, bug reporting, and/or pilot metrics/success criteria

Monitor associated bug components, assign correct priorities, create action items, and route workflows as needed.

Assist in the development of user story scenarios and high level business requirements and extract detailed system requirements from them.

Conduct research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems.

Consult frequently with internal users to ensure a complete understanding of their needs and concerns.

Conduct meetings, workshops and presentations with stakeholders and business users. Develop associated meeting materials including presentation slides, meeting agendas, and other supporting materials.

Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports CBRE aligned staff with human resources and management including performance reviews, mentoring and coaching

May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from top tier school in computer science, math, engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture, and SQL, SAS and/or SPSS including 2-3 years technical experience in software development, machine learning or statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization related work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business related field required

3+ years of experience in a successful and professional business/systems analysis role

3+ years of well developed verbal, written and listening skills

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

Excellent documentation skills.

Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations

5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity.

Highly proficient technical writing capabilities.

Experience with supply chain management.

Experience with Smartsheet, Workfront and Google Suite

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Experience with Microsoft BI stack (e.g., SSRS) a bonus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong analytical skills.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
