About the Job
Highly motivated individual that works in an analytical role to support the production efforts for Key’s mortgage capital markets platform. The analyst’s primary responsibilities are to work closely with the loan originators/bankers and other stakeholders in the analysis of commercial properties across the United States. The profile of assets are commercial properties including office, retail, self-storage, hotels, industrial, manufactured housing and apartments ranging in size from $10MM to $250MM in size. The analysts work with the bankers to coordinate financing solutions across Key’s numerous capital sources which include the following:
• Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS)
• Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA
• Investor Placement
• Debt Fund/Structured Bridge Lending
• Credit Tenant Lease (CTL)
• Balance Sheet Lending
Essential Job Functions
This position works closely with Bankers to provide loan origination and deal structuring support under all capital markets lending programs. The day-to-day responsibilities are as follows:
• Develop detailed working knowledge of underwriting parameters and requirements of all lending products.
• Model loan submissions in order to determine the viability of loan requests.
• Communicate with borrowers, relationship managers, and mortgage brokers to assist the banker in generating and processing new business while fostering relationships.
• Prepare loan submissions to third party capital lending sources and aid in the processing of the loans with third party investors.
• Assist bankers in shepherding loans through the due diligence and closing process.
Required Qualifications
• Degree from a four-year College or University.
• Minimum of 2 years in Commercial Real Estate financial analysis. Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance or Business may substitute for experience.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are a must. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and financial spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous work experience in commercial real estate finance and/or experience with CMBS, Agency and Life Insurance lending programs a plus.
Depending on prior work experience, this position may be upgraded to a Senior Production Analyst.
