MRP is seeking an Analyst to join its growing acquisitions and asset management team in Washington, D.C. This position’s primary responsibilities include underwriting, financial modeling, conducting market research, and preparing investment memos. The candidate will gain broad exposure to all aspects of the investment process, supporting the acquisitions, asset management, and development teams.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Underwriting new investment opportunities, in both income-producing assets and development opportunities
• Financial modeling, including discounted cash flow valuation, downside sensitivity analysis, capital stack structuring and joint venture evaluation
• Managing ongoing financial models for existing investments and development projects, and preparation of reporting packages for MRP Realty’s capital partners
• Assisting construction and asset management teams in the execution of repositioning strategies, assisting in business plan formation, project pricing, capital expenditure schedules, loan draws, and investor updates
• Coordinating the due diligence and closing processes, interfacing directly with LP capital partners, lenders, investment brokers, property managers, and third-party vendors
• Synthesizing macro-economic and local market information, research, trends, and transactions to craft investment strategies
• Understanding and applying logical functions to generate fully dynamic spreadsheet
• Inputting market and property assumptions into Argus to generate cash flow projections

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1 – 3 years of experience in real estate, finance, or capital markets
• Outstanding quantitative and financial modeling skills
• Results-oriented with the ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs required
• Proficiency in Argus Enterprise
• Ability to work full-time, non-remote
