Description
Torrington Properties is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join its team. Working closely with the CFO and Finance & Accounting team, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in the analysis of property acquisitions, debt and equity capitalization, and dispositions. In addition, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining internal schedules including mortgage, investor, property, and various other schedules as well as other ad hoc finance and accounting related tasks/projects.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Underwrite and potential acquisition and disposition opportunities
- Prepare financing packages inclusive of project analysis, underwriting of cash flows, area description, and Sponsor overview to be sent to potential lenders
- Communicate with local, regional, and national banks
- Analyze and negotiate term sheets and commitment letters with lenders
- Assist with the acquisition and disposition process including coordination and oversight of third-parties
- Assist in capital raising initiatives which will include preparation of financial models and projections as well as the preparation of detailed financing memorandums and presentation materials
- Evaluate, analyze, and abstract residential and commercial leases
- Assist with loan requisitions for development/construction projects
- Complete disposition analysis to gauge profitability and investor returns
- Manage portfolio wide mortgage schedule
- Analyze financial statements and historical property performance to complete cash forecasts
- Assist with quarter end financial statements/account reconciliations
- Ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects
Skills & Experience:
- Strong Excel skills required
- Analytical real estate experience required
- Yardi experience a plus
- Accounting experience preferred
- Familiarity with financial statements preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to communicate in a concise and organized manner
- Ability to budget time and meet deadlines will be critical
- Discretion and sound judgment
Education:
- Bachelors degree or higher preferred
