Senior Fund Accountant

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare journal entries
• Assist in all aspects of quarterly and annual financial reports
• Coordinate and communicate with banks, legal counsel and limited partners
• Process wire transfers
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with Fund auditors
• Analyze general ledger accounts
• Actively monitor & adhere to multiple reporting requirements across multiple fund vehicles
• Perform ad-hoc reporting to limited partners/internal departments
• Analyze limited partnership agreements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance 
• 5-7 years of related fund accounting; Big Four or national firm a plus
• Relevant fund accounting experience, with a focus on GAAP for investment companies
• Required areas of accounting expertise include, but are not limited to: capital calls and distributions, consolidations, fair value reporting, financial statements prepared on a GAAP basis for investment companies (with footnotes), profit & loss allocations, financial highlights and ratios
• CPA preferred
• Yardi experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Advanced Excel skills including building models to support accounting records and conclusions
• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to deliver an organized work-product
• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, limited partners, auditors, legal counsel, and banking personnel
