Title:

Analyst – Commercial Real Estate Finance

 

Overview:

Meridian Capital Group is seeking a full time Real Estate Analyst to join its powerhouse West Coast Team, which has closed over $5 Billion in financing in the past 30 months. The Analyst will work alongside team members in the Century City, Los Angeles, CA office and will support in creating financial models/analysis, investment memorandums and report preparations, and ad-hoc projects for the financing of real estate transactions. 

 

Ideal Candidate

  • 1-3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance/Acquisitions/Operations, Lending, Investment Banking, or applicable fields
  • Desire to develop investment acumen and exceptional organizational, interpersonal, quantifiable, writing and communication skills
  • Candidate must be a disciplined and very organized self-starter, with ability to set goals and priorities while working in an extremely fast-paced team setting
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Competency in marketing and outreach design
  • Experience using Costar, Loopnet, Reonomy
  • An advanced working knowledge of Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in modeling and underwriting of commercial real estate, covering all asset classes, markets, and financing types in Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist in creating financing memorandums inclusive of market research, self-prepared narratives, and basic visual and graphic designs.
  • Assist in completing mortgage applications for submission to lending institutions in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in interactions with clients, lenders, attorneys, appraisers, and environmental consultants in all stages of transactions, underwriting, packaging, marketing, processing, and closing.
  • Prepare market analysis reports, including vacancy, absorption, and comparable rents and sales.
  • Review and analyze legal documents and third-party reports as part of the due diligence process.
  • May participate in networking through professional, business and community organizations and activities to promote and market loan products.
