About the role

AIGGRE is seeking a Vice President of Research and Investment Strategy. In this role you will have a unique opportunity to help drive the investment decisions of a multi-billion-dollar private equity real estate manager. The position is based in New York and will report to the Head of Capital Markets. The principal responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:

• Examine macro-economic, capital market, and property market trends, which includes forecasting real estate conditions, and integrating research into the investment process.
• Analyze metro-level market data and conduct in-depth property sector research for the major US and European metropolitan markets.
• Report on the economy and business trends affecting the local and national real estate industry for quarterly publications and white papers.
• Write informative and thought-provoking research reports, market updates and articles for internal use and external publication that explain critical economic issues and how they influence real estate investing. These publications will enhance the firm’s credibility, visibility, and reputation as an industry leader.
• Present the firm’s real estate strategy to investors and prospective clients by translating complex economic concepts in a straightforward manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience in research including knowledge of macroeconomics, finance, and real estate investment analysis and due diligence. 
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to infuse the internal investment process with new ideas, as well as to support external marketing efforts.
• Enlightened approach in terms of combining real world expectations and investment parameters with qualitative and quantitative real estate research techniques.
• Strategic creative thinker with experience providing and interpreting data and analysis to support the development of new and innovative investment products ahead of the industry.
• Ability to multi-task across a wide number of activities and meet tight, multiple deadlines.
• Strong economics background, with an understanding of the macroeconomic issues that affect real estate investments.
• Knowledge of real estate investment management practices, investment products, real estate property markets, and capital markets.
• Limited traveling (up to 10%).
