JOB SUMMARY:

You will support the tax function, including management of federal & state tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, partnerships, and compliance. Additionally, work closely with various business groups, providing advice and guidance on tax-related matters that materially impact the business. Manage the Property, Partnership, and corporate tax activities. Ensures compliance with company policies, contractual obligations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Base Pay - $53K- $77K

Requirements

 

Key Competencies, Responsibilities, and Qualifications

Monitor compliance across the organization and address/escalate issues as needed, to include vendor related compliance.

Provide timely and accurate tax support to Finance, Debt, Accounting, Investment Management, Legal, Human Resources and Property Operations teams.

Manage sales & use tax, personal property tax, and business license filings

Identifies opportunities and implements process improvements.

Participates in special projects that impact policies and procedures.

Acts as a subject matter expert for specialized accounting areas

Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex transactions

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and preferably hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant).

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including at least 3 years in real estate and/or public accounting.

Exposure to Compliance and Partnership tax regulations is preferred, but not required.

Expertise in real estate tax and accounting

Entity management and experience with TIC’s a plus

Confident communicator with the level of presence and professionalism necessary to successfully interact with senior leadership and external business partners.

Strong Excel skills and conceptual knowledge of GAAP/SFAS

Must be detail oriented, possess a strong sense of accountability, and be self-motivated
