We’re looking for a highly motivated, skilled, organized and experienced professional to join the Public Works Department as an Analyst I/II in the Real Property Section.  Under the direction of the Real Property Program Administrator, the Analyst I/II will assist with the City’s real property activities, including preparing and administering lease and property use agreements, coordinating the execution of a variety of real estate documents, coordinating property escrows and procedures, and preparing written reports for the City Council, City departments and the City’s real estate partners and business community.  If you are looking to take on a challenging and rewarding analytical role when you can use and enhance your business, communication and financial skills, this position is for you!

The Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, real estate, land use planning,  economics, or a closely related field.
  • Two years of full-time analytical experience equivalent to the position of Analyst I with the City of Mountain View.

Bonus Points

  • Public sector experience.
  • Experience in the real estate industry, contract development / management, and budget development or accounting practices.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the Real Property Program Administrator with preparation of contracts, deeds, escrow instructions and other documents necessary to acquire, sell, or develop real property.
  • Implement and manage the pedestrian mall outdoor patio license application process. Review applications, work with the Community Development Department on the design approval of each application and ensure all necessary documents have been received prior to executing license agreements.
  • Maintain records related to use agreements and leases to ensure lease terms are complied with and payments are up to date.
  • Prepare scopes of work for appraisals, environmental site assessments and other real estate services.
  • Manage invoice processing including scope of work review, check requests and compilation of project history files.
  • Assist with budget tracking, real estate project accounting, and other real estate development activities and administration.
