Blueprint Planner II
Salary: $48,276.80 - $131,019.20/annually
Hiring Rate will generally not exceed $88,795.20/annually

Blueprint Principal Planner
Salary: $48,276.80 - $131,019.20/annually
Hiring Rate will generally not exceed $83,033.60/annually
This is an advanced professional position working in transportation and community planning, research, urban design, implementation activities, and other duties as may be related for the Blueprint Infrastructure Program. Blueprint is responsible for planning, designing, and constructing projects funded by a local option penny sales tax, such as parks, roads, placemaking, and trail/greenway/bicycle projects. Major responsibilities include long-range transportation planning, development of project design concepts, communication of project planning and progress through agenda items to the Intergovernmental Agency Board of Directors (combined City and County commissions), community outreach related to Blueprint Infrastructure projects, and coordination with agency partners at the City of Tallahassee, Leon County, Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency, and Florida Department of Transportation. Work is performed under the direction of the Blueprint Planning Manager. Specifically, the Planner II and Principal Planners positions will serve on the Blueprint Planning team and assist with the planning for Blueprint Infrastructure projects. Project management, coordination and communication with local, regional, and state transportation agencies, development and management of grant applications, community outreach and citizen engagement, and development of preferred concepts for the Blueprint Infrastructure projects are core responsibilities of this position. Planner II
Minimum Training and Experience:
Possession of a master's degree in planning, public administration, a field related to the aforementioned areas or a field directly related to the area to which the position is assigned and one year of professional experience that includes planning; or possession of a bachelor's degree in planning, public administration, a field related to the aforementioned areas or a field directly related to the area to which the position is assigned and two years of professional experience that includes planning; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Blueprint Principal Planner
Minimum Training and Experience:
Possession of a master's degree in urban and regional planning, public or business administration, or a related field and three years of professional experience that includes transportation and/or urban planning in the public and/or private sector; or possession of a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, public or business administration, or a related field and five years of professional experience that includes transportation and/or urban planning in the public and/or private sector; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special Requirement
At the department director’s discretion, a valid Class E State driver’s license may be required for any of the designated positions allocated to this class.
