Job Description
- Build and manage complex financial models for multifamily development projects.
- Analyze deal structures, capital stacks, and return metrics (IRR, equity multiple, etc.).
- Prepare financing applications, investor presentations, and funding proposals.
- Conduct market research and validate assumptions in pro forma analyses.
- Monitor project financial performance, budget variances, and KPIs.
- Support capital structuring efforts including joint ventures and public-private partnerships.
- Coordinate with accounting and asset management teams to align financial goals.
- Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions and development transactions.
- Track key financial milestones during entitlement, design, and construction phases.
- Interface with lenders, investors, and public agencies as needed.
- Mentor and review work produced by junior analysts and associates.
- Collaborate with Development Associates, Project Managers, and executive leadership.
- Present financial insights to internal and external stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (MBA or Master's preferred).
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in real estate finance or development, including team oversight or mentorship responsibilities.
- Prior experience with multifamily underwriting and financial due diligence required.
- Deep expertise in Excel-based financial modeling and presentation software.
- Strong understanding of affordable housing finance tools (e.g., LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds) is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
