The opportunity

We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Tenant Coordinator to join QIC’s growing Global Real Estate team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is an exciting new opportunity for a junior Tenant Coordinator to learn from experienced professionals.

Reporting to VP Tenant Coordination, you will work closely with the Tenant Coordination team and retail tenants to oversee store design project's process, schedule, design standards, and status to ensure tenants open on time.

The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review drawings prepared by tenant’s architects to ensure compatibility with shopping center criteria
  • Respond to questions from architects and suggest appropriate changes, with review and approval from Tenant Coordinator(s)
  • Provide Leasing support in timely processing and resolution of tenant space configurations, design packages, recommendations, and approval of tenant work
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers regarding the performance of tenant work, providing assistance as necessary
  • Coordinate the performance of any lease requiring Landlord Work with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager; assist in coordination of outside vendors as needed to facilitate timely completion
  • Assist with tenant renewal inspections during onsite visits and prepare renewal inspection reports
  • Act as Landlord liaison to ensure tenants open on time and within established design standards
  • Verify schedule with tenant to confirm opening by rent commencement date
  • Review lease proposals (LPG’s) for remodeling requests, proposed Rent Commencement Date (RCD), and Landlord work and alert team of any potential issues
  • Review leases as required for construction and design requirements
  • Prepare project schedules and obtain estimates for Landlord work project
  • Process tenant allowance requests

The ideal candidate

As a strong candidate for this role, you will have 3-5 years' of experience in architecture and/or construction, preferably in retail design.

Ideally you will also have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, or related discipline
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels with skill and diplomacy
  • Retail design experience is desirable with a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu software is preferable.
