Description

Our highly skilled project management teams build and sustain strong professional relationships with Peacock Construction clients, subcontractors and vendors that result in a high level of business retention. These relationships are built on a solid foundation of trust and confidence in our knowledge, expertise and our ability to deliver superior quality while meeting our construction commitments. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to step-in immediately and successfully manage a backlog of tenant-improvement projects in and around the city of San Francisco.

A successful candidate will spend up to their first year working directly with the Sr. Project Manager on a jointly-managed book of work, and be sufficiently competent with Peacock Construction’s processes, operations, subcontractors and clients within 12-18 months to be given full profit-and-loss responsibility to independently sustain and grow that book of business.

While commercial/retail construction experience is essential, project management ability, business sense and acumen, a strong dedication to client satisfaction, and the desire to develop and grow as a professional in the commercial tenant-improvement industry will distinguish qualified candidates.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Architecture or related field and a minimum of  3 years experience as a Project Manager, or 4 years experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer, in construction or a related-industry such as Architecture, Property Management, Real Estate Acquisitions, Development or Brokerage, or Operations and Supply-chain Management demonstrated expertise in Project Management disciplines (includes development and execution of Schedules, Submittals, Change Orders, Project Meeting Minutes and activity-specific Task Lists).

Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and MS Project. Experience working with construction software such as Timberline or a similar application is essential. Proven ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills in managing multiple projects in different consecutive stages. Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail and audit-trail documentation must be maintained in the face of multiple competing demands for your time. Developing a positive rapport with clients, vendors, subcontractors and employees and maintaining business partnerships is critically important.

Peacock Construction, with offices in Lafayette and San Francisco, is an independently owned construction firm that delivers high quality tenant improvement commercial construction in the Bay Area.  We specialize in commercial interiors, health care facilities and capital improvement project construction.

We value individual contributions, superior customer service, high performance standards, and a collaborative work style.  We provide a great team environment and an opportunity for personal and professional growth.  In addition, Peacock offers an outstanding compensation and benefits package including a 401(k) plan with company match.
